What exactly is a short sale?

Homeowners have an option to "short sell" when their properties are worth less than what they owe to their bank(s). For example, your house is worth $500,000 but you owe your bank(s) $550,000 in loans, home equity lines of credit, etc. If you qualify for a short sale, you may be able to sell your property for less than what is owed, avoid foreclosure and walk away from the property with little to no remaining debt. A short sale is a far better alternative to foreclosure, both for you and your bank. It is significantly less damaging to your credit, and you'll be able to buy a home much sooner after a short sale than with bankruptcy or foreclosure (3-5 years sooner).

About This Blog

Rene G. Salinas, a leading Phoenix short sale specialist, created this blog due to an obvious lack of a not only sound advice in such a niche concept in the Phoenix Metro area, but also the lack of a "full service" offering to clients who have a legitimate hardship in their financial situation. By referring clients out to Loan Modification, Credit Repair and Legal Counsel services to tried, responsive and true professionals, Mr. Salinas is able to ensure homeowners are able receive the proper advice from the appropriate specialist, rather than trying to be a "jack of all trades". In the final analysis, the sole purpose of this blog to connect people with the very best of Short Sale Negotiation, Loan Modification, Credit Repair and Legal Counsel, all of whom have been hand-picked and have a 95%+ track record of success and/or an exceptional closing record. They have personally agreed to follow up with the members and readership of this blog therefore providing the education and expertise homeowners need to make a sound decision regarding their pre-foreclosure situation.
